How we work

Pontari is a lean production company built around a senior translator and an engineered production line. Founded and run by Jonas Sappelt: MA Interpreting and Translation, state-certified translator (Bavaria), ISO 17100-qualified, 7 million+ words delivered. Every delivery runs through documented QA under his named accountability. Where a project contract requires a separate human revision step, it is staffed with qualified external revisers and priced in.

Pontari works in six languages: English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, and Portuguese. Jonas personally covers the English, German and Spanish directions. French, Italian and Portuguese run through the same engineered line and documented QA regime, with qualified human verification staffed per project. Further European target languages are available with short onboarding lead time.

Why Pontari exists

Agencies of every size hit the same two walls: capacity and technology. Small teams cannot build industrial tooling. Large ones can never get enough reliable hands. Pontari is the production line both can plug into: without hiring it, training it or maintaining it. You keep the client, the margin and the credit. We make the deadline. The name says the mission: Pontari, from the Latin pons (bridge) – the bridge-builders between your agency and delivery-ready translation.

Jonas Sappelt, founder

Ten-plus years and seven million words of professional translation, four university degrees, and a parallel decade of building translation technology: terminology systems, QA tooling and production workflows. Originally from Munich, based in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria: working with DACH, EU and US agencies every day. Jonas also takes on projects directly as a freelance translator at sappelt-languages.com.
